Prerequisites

• smartImager version 4.0 Installer
• Download the installer from: https://www.smartimager.com/login.html
• Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher
  • Must have static IP address
  • Must be domain joined
  • Cannot be a domain controller
• Minimum 4 GB RAM (16 GB recommended)
• Minimum 2 CPUs
• Suggested 100 GB storage space
  • This is environment dependent on the amount of images, software, and drivers you will need to deploy
• Microsoft IIS
  • This will be installed and configured by the smartImager installer
• Windows Deployment Services
• This will be installed by the smartImager installe
• Only needed for PXE boot environments
• Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or higher
  • The smartImager installer includes installation for Microsoft SQL Express 2014 if needed
• Microsoft .NET framework 4.5.2
  • The smartImager installer includes installation for the .NET framework if needed
• Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) installed
• Install the Windows PE and Deployment Tools component

Post-Installation Requirements

• Microsoft Windows Installation media (DVD/ISO Volume License media)
• Service account (domain-joined account - will need to be added to local administrators group on the server.)
